Leading UK Practitioner Maria Elliott launches new  2018 Training Dates For Mummy MOT® Professionals

Internationally renowned postnatal chartered physiotherapist, pelvic pain recovery specialist and Mummy MOT founder, Maria Elliott, has just launched two new Mummy MOT Professional training dates for 2018.

The new two-day weekend courses will be held on 9/10th June 2018 and 3/4th November 2018 at a central London location.

We are also delighted to announce a long-awaited Mummy MOT® Professionals Course in Cork on the weekend of 3/4 March 2018.

Here’s what a previous candidates had to say about the training:

“Very high standard of teaching. Theory and practical delivered in manageable chunks. Taught the skills and delivery that we need to know to do the Mummy MOT assessment and treatment plan and room left for us to develop our skills in the future.

I would recommend this course to colleagues.”

~ Stephanie Boyd, Physioholistic

“The course was really informative but the practical element was the best part. I found it really useful to go through the mummy mot assessment with real patients. The expertise from Maria, Holly, Marta and Jenny was invaluable. I thoroughly enjoy both days and intend on putting it to practice asap. I would definitely recommend the course to others.”

Maria announced the new dates after her Mummy MOT Training courses in November 2017 and February 2018 were sold out six months in advance!

Maria’s Mummy MOT® continues to go from strength to strength, with over 150 women’s health specialists and post-natal physios now fully trained and qualified to deliver the Mummy MOT®. [Find one near you here]

MOT professionals are now available in an increasing number of areas in UK and Ireland but Maria’s aim is to ensure that every woman who has a baby in the UK can visit a Mummy MOT® specialist to ensure the full potential of their postnatal recovery is achieved.

Maria explains: “Understandably new mums are always concerned about the welfare of their new baby, but they also need to look after their own bodies.

“The statistics regarding postnatal recovery are frightening – a third of all women will suffer incontinence after giving birth and half of those who give birth naturally will suffer a prolapse later on in life. There’s just no need for most woman to suffer the adverse consequences of giving birth as much or for as long as many do.

“Being incontinent, having painful sex, having a tummy gap, enduring complex pelvic pain or discomfort – all these things can be helped and often alleviated completely with our specialist Mummy MOT assessment and bespoke training programme. It’s time for a step change in women’s postnatal care and rehab.”

Maria runs three clinics, a new practice in the state of the art rehabilitation studio at Queen’s Tennis Club on Mondays and Wednesdays, The West London Clinic which runs on Mondays and Tuesdays and with leading postural and pelvic pain specialist Tim King at Cione’s Harley Street Clinic on Thursdays & Fridays.

“The course really is great. Maria and Jenny are so knowledgeable, supportive and helpful. My favourite part was the exercise component presented by both Maria and Jenny, just gave me so many ideas and things to think about. Their passion and sheer generosity with knowledge is rare and wonderful.  This is a must for any women’s health Physio wanting to offer more to their new mummy’s. I left the course full of ideas, I just need to find the time to implement them. Inspiring- thank you!”

~Emma Brockwell, Physiomum – www.physiomumblog.wordpress.com

“The atmosphere and the collaborative discussions around how to work collectively to increase awareness of the service nationally. The split between practical and clinical learning was fantastic. The organisation with regards to pre-course reading, facebook group and on going communication shows commitment to the cause rather than just a knowledge dump and run”
