What will you learn?

This hands-on refresher day is designed to help you reconnect with and refine your palpation and assessment skills of the abdominal and pelvic organs. You will:

  • Revisit palpation techniques and assessment strategies for key abdominal and pelvic structures.
  • Reidentify tissue layers from skin, fascia, ligaments, to the organs themselves, deepening your understanding of how these layers interact.
  • Explore the diaphragm and peritoneum, understanding their influence on visceral mobility and overall function.
  • Review female anatomy in detail:uterus, broad ligaments, ovarian ligament, urachus, and pubovisicle ligament.
  • Reassess the small intestine, colon, and suspensory ligaments connecting the colon to the ovaries, improving precision in your palpation and treatment.

Advanced Review

Take your revision further with a deeper understanding of the body’s internal systems:

  • Recall pelvic organ locations and learn how to influence them safely and effectively.
  • Re-explore the links between emotions, the Chinese medicine body clock, and the organs, integrating holistic insights into your practice.

Treatment & Techniques

Build confidence in applying visceral therapy to real-world cases:

  • Deliver postnatal and women’s health care using a comprehensive 360° approach.
  • Learn additional specialised techniques, including stomach, 3 sphincter releases, liver, gall bladder, as well as sacrotuberous and sacrospinous ligament releases, expanding your treatment toolkit.
