Absolutely! The Mummy MOT® is for all women who have given birth and are still suffering in some way. The sooner you make an appointment, the sooner your symptoms and issues will be alleviated. But it’s never too late to make an appointment.

All Mummy MOT practitioners undergo the same training, no matter what their background is. All practitioners follow a standard practice for delivering a Mummy MOT.

The Mummy MOT® includes an internal pelvic exam and you will be required to remove the bottom half of your clothing. You will be asked to sign a consent form or give a verbal agreement before the exam takes place.

The initial consultation can take up to an hour. It may take longer depending on your situation and symptoms. Follow-up times will be discussed with you.

We warmly welcome babies at your appointment as we understand that being a new mum means life and little ones come hand in hand. You’re also very welcome to bring a friend or family member along if that helps with childcare or simply to support you during your session. Our practitioners are encouraged to make you and your companion feel comfortable.

Our mission is to improve postnatal care across the globe and to do that we need experienced women’s health professionals. To undertake Mummy MOT® Practitioner training, you must be a physiotherapist, osteopath, midwife or GP experienced in performing internal vaginal examinations.
